Cyberpunk 2077: CDPR is giving away an exclusive short story written by their story lead to fans who buy the game on Steam as a pre-order bonus.

CDPR doesn’t seem to be short on new gifts to offer their fans as far as Cyberpunk pre-ordering is concerned. With 3-4 release delays behind them, Cyberpunk 2077 has to be one of the most anticipated titles this year. So, it’s easy to see why CDPR are trying to maximize sales with this “pre-bonus” model.

Cyberpunk 2077 Pre-order Bonus: An Exclusive Short Story.

After the already long list of exclusive pre-order bonuses available on GOG & other merchants, Steam is also joining the party. What’s more, the game distribution service by Valve is also getting a gift just for their platform. It’s an all-new Short Story written by no other than the Cyberpunk team’s story lead, Tomasz Marchewka.

The short story is named “2 AM – She Calls” and is an ex-NYPD officer’s account of “the hostile streets of Night City”. The officer is named Frank and works the night shift as a Combat Cab driver.

Building a Lore.

CDPR have already announced two digital comics & now this? There’s no doubt that the Cyberpunk team is already working to create an entire lore around the game itself. And although we do not know anything much about the story as such, I think its safe to assume that it’ll be pretty thrilling. Night City seems to be the best place for an ex-cop to play a De Niro like Taxi Driver.

Apart from this, you get to keep your usual goodies that come with pre-ordering as well. To know more about them, check them out here.
