DC Predicted 11 vs CSK

DC Predicted 11 vs CSK: The Sportsrush presents before you DC Predicted Playing 11 for their 13th match of IPL 2019 vs CSK.

A miraculous season for Delhi has seen them reach the pinnacle of success in the premier Indian Premier League. In what has been a stupendous time in the middle for DC, they find themselves piping Chennai Super Kings in the ranks.

Reaching the echelon of the group standings, the Delhi team moves to CSK’s stadium a top of the table clash which is set to be an absolute carnage with either side fighting for first place.

What is set to make the encounter a grueling affair is the fact that the Kings have been so strong this season in their stadium with 4 wins out of the 6 matches they’ve contested in at the venue. On the other hand, the Capitals have been an enigma to watch away from home. They’ve been extremely resilient and defiant outside the Feroz Shah Kotla, blowing past units with comprehensive ease.

Ahead of the emphatic encounter, we take a look at how the Capitals will be looking to line-up against arguably their closest competitors for the glistening trophy based on current form. They need to come up with a stellar XI based on the spin heavy conditions that will be on purchase.

DC Predicted 11 vs CSK

DC Top-order

It seems unlikely that Delhi Capitals’ top-order will undergo any changes. While Shikhar Dhawan and Shreyas Iyer are both in good touch, it is the form of Prithvi Shaw that makes for a precarious reading.

Apart from the 99 that the opener managed vs Kolkata Knight Riders earlier in the tournament, he’s subsequently faced a massive setback throughout the season. It’s been a woeful showing from him ever since, one in which he’s only managed to get off to starts but never capitalized on them to ensure that the opening partnership has set a real foundation for his side.

DC Middle-order

This is an area that DC have toyed around with a bit too much for our liking but as we approach the business end of the league, the side look to be finally cementing down on a bunch of players. Coming in at No. 4 will be Rishabh Pant followed by Colin Ingram, Chris Morris and Axar and Patel.

This is probably the weakest aspect of Delhi’s side. Rishabh Pant has blown hot and cold throughout the tournament, coming up with two good innings but nothing more substantial. Especially on a CSK surface where the ball will spin massively, Pant will have problems negotiating the turn and trickery.

All the onus of runs from the middle-order will lie on Ingram. After usual contributions in the opening exchanges of the tournaments, he’s fizzled out ever since and Delhi will need him to come good.

DC Bowlers

Playing on a surface that is similar in nature to the Feroz Shah Kotla, Delhi will look to keep the bowling combination of the 3 pacers and 3 spinners intact. In the bowling department, Kagiso Rabada and Ishant Sharma will be given the responsibility of the new ball with Morris completing the third bowling option.

With ball showing huge aberrations and frisking around on a pitch that is bound to misbehave especially in a night match, Delhi will yet again go in with Amit Mishra and Sandeep Lamichhane as the slower bowling options, accompanied by Axar.

They need their spinners to work their magic and ruthlessly show guile and trickery to walk through CSK’s heavy batting line-up.

DC Predicted 11 vs CSK – 1) Prithvi Shaw 2) Shikhar Dhawan 3) Colin Ingram 4) Shreyas Iyer (c) 5) Rishabh Pant (wk) 6) Axar Patel 7) Chris Morris 8) Sandeep Lamichhane 9) Kagiso Rabada 10) Amit Mishra 11) Ishant Sharma
