DC vs RCB Match Prediction

DC vs RCB Match Prediction: The Sportsrush presents before you the Match Prediction of 46th match of IPL 2019.

The Feroz Shah stadium will be a sea of blue, filled with the boisterous Delhi support when their side take to the pitch once again to take on the Royal Challengers Bangalore this time. With 7 wins in 11 matches, Delhi sit pretty at the top of the league table.

The same is in complete contrast to the Royal Challengers, who after the same amount of matches find themselves in the bottom half, struggling to keep him up with the pace with just the 8 points.

Despite the huge gap in their position in the ranks, this is not as straightforward a fixture as it may seem. Under Virat Kohli’s improved leadership, Bangalore have overturned their season. Meanwhile, DC have made for a dismal viewing at home, a complete opposite of how good they are when they travel.

Under scorching conditions, the 4:00pm start promises to make for a spectacular watch. It’s set to be a tantalizing poised encounter between two sides filled with world-class players who’ll leave no stone unturned to bring home the two points for their side. Expect a cliffhanger, one that will the 22 set of players drained as they try to wretch incentive from the other.

DC vs RCB – What numbers suggest?

The DC vs RCB faceoff has seen 23 matches being played till date in the tournament with the RCB dominating this encounter with 15 wins. With just the 7 wins to their name with the one clash ending in a draw, what Delhi will take heart from in the last time these two sides met this season.

DC vs RCB – Key battles

Kagiso Rabada vs Virat Kohli

While Kohli is undoubtedly one of the most sublime players of pace bowling in the cricketing fraternity, the chinks in his batting are visible when the ball is pitched at a shorter leg, targeting his legside. The same delivery saw him lose his wicket to Rabada the last time these two sides met and Delhi will be looking to pepper him with much of the same yet again.

If Kohli can work around this initial battle and negate Rabada’s threat, RCB will not find it the toughest task to score off Ishant and Rutherford.

Rishabh Pant vs Yuzvendra Chahal

While Pant has had the odd good innings for his side, he’s been way too inconsistent. He’s unsure of how to construct his innings, throwing his bat at everything as he fails to understand the need of the situation.

With Chahal turning the ball into him, anything outside the leg stump for Pant will be a tepid job for him to negotiate. In what is a shaky middle-order for Delhi, his wicket early on will be a huge one for the visiting side.

DC vs RCB – Match Prediction

With Dale Steyn and Moeen Ali both out of RCB’s contingent, they’ll be without two players who’ve been one of the reason for the upheaval in form. They won’t be the easiest players to replace, leaving both the batting and bowling order paper thin.

Delhi will be looking to make the most of this on the day and construct the framework of a successful win. This match is one that is too close to call.

If Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers get going, no pitch in the world is tough for them to hit their expansive shots on. With Kohli returning to his home stadium as well we expect him to deliver a stunning masterclass innings and take his side to a win here.
