DC vs SRH 2019

DC vs SRH 2019: The Sportsrush presents before you three intriguing player battles ahead of the 16th match of IPL 2019.

The Delhi Capitals would look to get back to winning ways after an embarrassing loss against KXIP wherein they threw away the match. They would like to sort out their lower order issues as soon as possible as momentum in such a tournament is key.

Sunrisers, on the other hand, have been brilliant with the bat and have managed to win back to back matches courtesy David Warner and Jonny Bairstow after the initial loss against KKR. With an exciting contest expected, let us have a look at some of the player battles that we can expect.

Kagiso Rabada vs David Warner

Arguably one of the best bowlers in the world, Rabada is known for his pace, swing and accuracy and has been very impressive. On the other hand, Warner, the Orange Cap holder, has already taken the IPL by storm. It will be interesting to see how the destructive David Warner copes up with Rabada’s brilliance as seen in the Super Over against KKR.

Rishabh Pant vs Rashid Khan

Rashid and Pant have tried to dominate each other for a long time. While one is already considered to be a legendary spinner, the other is one of the most promising talents in India. Rashid Khan had managed to dismiss Pant in their first encounter last year.

However, Pant made an impressive comeback and hit Rashid all around the park in the next match enroute his century. They have often praised each other in the past as well. It can be expected that the bitter-sweet rivalry will continue this season and they will be competitive against each other and try to come out on top this time.

Sandeep Lamichhane vs Jonny Bairstow

Bairstow has been in unbelievable form in this IPL. Coming on the back of a century, he will be confident to take on every DC bowler. However, one person who might plat spoilsport to Jonny’s plan might be the young Nepali spinner, Sandeep Lamichhane.

18-year old leggie has been bowling extremely economically (7.00) in the powerplay overs and in case Bairstow decides to take him on, we could be in for some excitement as the wily spinner has quite a few tricks up
his sleeve.
