Dean Ambrose Vs WWE: The repercussions of Jon Moxley showing up at AEW’s ‘Double or Nothing’

Dean Ambrose Vs WWE: The repercussions of Jon Moxley showing up at AEW’s ‘Double or Nothing’. Vince McMahon reportedly was unaware of his plans to sign with AEW.

Jon Moxley, formerly known as Dean Ambrose, is making headlines over his recent outburst against the WWE and Vince McMahon. The comments were made on Chris Jericho’s ‘Talk is Jericho’ Podcast. The episode titled “The Emancipation of Jon Moxley” has become the highest rated episode of Talk is Jericho.

The former WWE Champion said that working in WWE made him depressed and he didn’t want to ask for his release because he didn’t want to cause any problems for his wife Renee Young; who is currently working in the WWE as part of the commentary team.

However, it seems that it doesn’t matter how he left the company because the WWE is currently trying to figure out what to do with Renee Young after Moxley’s departure from the company.

According to Brad Shepard, an ex WWE writer, Vince McMahon is currently fuming at being worked by Moxley. Apparently Moxley told the WWE management he was leaving in order to film a movie and they were unaware of his plans to sign with rival promotion AEW.

On his Oh, You Didn’t Know podcast, Brad Shepard reported:

“Vince was actually — he was actually furious about something; what could that be you ask? Well, he was fuming mad because and I have confirmed this with multiple sources Dean Ambrose aka Jon Moxley worked Vince McMahon and WWE absolutely he worked everybody.”

“Vince is fuming over Dean Ambrose aka Jon Moxley telling them that he was just going to Hollywood to make a movie, but actually he was leaving to make a movie and sign with AEW.”

“So, I think it’s very interesting now because it puts Renee in an interesting situation. I am told they are looking at what to do with her as well, but they’re not happy about it.”

Conclusion

Many wrestlers have wanted out of WWE in recent months. The WWE however, have instead tried it’s best to hold on to their wrestlers. In such a scenario, it is unlikely that the WWE will fire a popular personality like Renee. This will end up giving them bad PR and fan backlash. Moreover, Renee could just end up with her husband in AEW. They may probably just take her off T.V instead. It will be interesting to see what happens in the Dean Ambrose Vs WWE saga going forward from here.
