Dembele Transfer News: Barca Youngster on the Radar of European Giants as Barcelona look to gather funds for the reported transfer of Neymar and Antoine Griezmann.
Barcelona have been linked with two mega transfers this season. One of Atletico Madrid star Antoine Griezmann and the other of former player Neymar from PSG. However, if Barcelona manage to bring the two to Camp Nou, they will have to let go of their players. A move very necessary in order to open up places in the squad and balance the books. A scenario as such is exactly what Bayern Munich Boss Niko Kovac is hoping for.

Following the retirements of club legends Arjen Robben and Franck Ribery, Bayern Munich are in the market for a winger. They have identified Ousmane Dembele as a suitable replacement. The Daily Mail have reported that the Bavarian Giants have already seen their £62 million bid turned down. They are still hopeful that they will land the Frenchman though.
‘Dembele is a great player,’ Kovac said in an interview. ‘If Barca finally bring Neymar back from PSG, it could increase the possibility of reaching an agreement for Dembele.’
Keeping an eye on Leroy
Apart from Ousmane Dembele, Bayern Munich is also linked with Manchester City winger Leroy Sane. Bayern Munich president, Uli Hoeness, confirmed the club’s interest in Leroy Sane in May. Though he later added that a deal would most likely not happen this year because the young winger would cost an “insane” amount of money. However, Kovac has not given up on the German Winger.
‘He could help us with his qualities, as we have seen with the German national team and Man City,’ Kovac said when asked about Sane.
Will Bayern nab Dembele?
Barcelona bought Ousmane Dembele in 2017 in hopes that he would help fill the outgoing Neymar’s shoes. However, Dembele’s stay at Barcelona has been plagued by a series of injury problems and with question marks over his attitude. With Neymar’s possible return and Griezmann’s impending arrival, Barcelona are looking to let go of Dembele to recover some of their money.
The Barca youngster has all the tools to succeed at the highest level. He just needs to put his head in the right place. Can Bayern Munich help him develop into the player we all know he is capable of? More importantly, will Bayern succeed in convincing Barcelona to send Dembele their way this summer?
