Donald Trump WWE: The U.S president to appear on SmackDown according to reports

Donald Trump WWE: The U.S president to appear on SmackDown Live when it moves to fox in October according to reports.

The Current United States President, Donald Trump, is a WWE Hall of Famer. The only U.S president to ever be inducted. He also remains the only U.S president to appear in a wrestling show. He hadn’t occupied the office during his stint in the WWE earlier though. However, if reports are to be believed then Trump could make a comeback to the WWE; This time as the elected leader of the country.

WWE SmackDown will complete its move to Fox on Friday, October 18th 2019. The network has given WWE a host of names it would like to feature on their weekly programming. Sportskeeda have reported that Fox has very ambitiously added Donald Trump’s name to that list.

Sportskeeda have quoted one member of the WWE creative team to suggest that this concept may have an actual possibility.

“FOX have asked for Trump so I’m trying to write something short and easy for him that makes him look good. Vince doesn’t like us to say anything bad about Trump so I’m just doing the best I can.”

Donald Trump and the McMahon Family

Vince McMahon and Donald Trump have a long and storied history. The two billionaires go long back. Trump sponsored WrestleMania IV and V in 1988-1989 when WWE were in dire need of financial support. He was also present at WrestleMania 20, and, most notably, participated in a feud with Vince McMahon in the mid-2000s that culminated with a hair vs. hair match fought by Umaga and Bobby Lashley on their behalf at WrestleMania 23. Following that match, he was even the on-screen owner of WWE for a very brief period.

Vince McMahon’s wife, Linda, served as the Administrator of the Small Business Administration on the president’s staff. She is now the Chairman of America First Action, a pro-Trump Super PAC.

Given, Donald Trump’s close ties with the McMahon family, it is not too out there to see him walk down a WWE ramp once again.

Archie is a WWE and UFC Editor/Author at the SportsRush. Like most combat sports enthusiasts, his passion for watching people fight began with WWE when he witnessed a young Brock Lesnar massacre Hulk Hogan back in 2002. This very passion soon branched out to boxing and mixed martial arts. Over the years he fell in love with the theatrics that preceded the bell and the poetic carnage that followed after. Each bruise a story to tell, each wound a song of struggle, his greatest desire is to be there to witness it all. His favorite wrestler is Shawn Michaels and he believes that GSP is the greatest to ever step foot inside the octagon. Apart from wrestling, he is also fond of poetry and music.
