DOTA 2 Hero Guides: Which is the best build for playing Rubick in Dota 2? The Grand Magus is a very flexible pick and can even play a crucial role in deciding if u win. Read more to find out which is the best build while playing Rubick.

Rubick is one of the most versatile heroes to play support with, as his strength is using the opponents skills against them. This also makes it hard to counter-pick him. While he is usually played as a hard or soft support, he can go on to dominate a team. His spell-stealing mechanism is hard to counter and if played right, he can be highly evasive.

His arsenal has enough spells to keep himself safe in a 1v1 or even a 2v1, but it is important to know that he is more of an enabler. It always works out if you stick with your team and keep them safe.

Starting Game Items

(Boots of Speed +Tangos)

If you’re looking to roam, mobility is key. So, you can start the game with a Boots of Speed, a set of tangos and a yellow ward.

If you have to stay in lain and sustain it, ship out some mangos, a salve and Iron branches to later make a Magic wand.

Early Game Items

(Arcane Boot +Magic Wand + Wind Lace)

It is important to rush the Arcane Boots, to provide you the mana you necessarily need. If you run out of mana, Rubick is pretty useless in fights. Also pick up a Wind Lace, which will give u that edge in terms of movement speed, helping you escape opponents.

What you want to do is start building an Ether lens by buying a Void stone and recipe, and by disassembling Arcane boots in the mid-game.

Mid Game Items

Aether Lens+ Eul’s Scepter (Optional)+ Glimmer Cape + Blink Dagger

At this juncture, you know how your team is playing. You can decide if you wanna build offensive or defensive items. A Eul’s scepter of Divinity is good in both situations. But don’t build it if you team doesn’t desperately need it.

Focus on finishing the Aether Lens and then get going to finish your Blink Dagger. This will help you reposition in fights very quickly, and help you steal what you need.

The Glimmer Cape will help you save yourself and valuable teammates in team-fights. It is also a very good escape/juking item.

Skill Build for Rubick

Max out your Fade Bolt during the early game to harass the opponent, and take one point in Arcane Supremacy. Skip the Level 10 talent until u reach level 15. His level 15 talent is a +100 range buff, it’s always a better idea to get that first.

The 4th ability makes u choose between A 40-percent Spell Amp to increase your damage output and a -12s Telekinesis CD. If you have lot of high value spells to steal, go for the former. If you need to prolong team fights and keep opponent carries under control, go for the latter.
