DOTA 2 Roster Change: OG parts ways with MidOne; Will welcome a new carry player for DPC Season 2. Team OG recently posted on Twitter saying that MidOne has been released from the roster! Read more to find out all the latest details.
It seems that OG’s failure to qualify for the ONE Esports Singapore Major 2021 has made them re-think their roster! OG’s safe-lane player, Yeik “MidOne” Nai Zheng, will no longer be part of the squad. The organization put out this news in a Twitter post they put up less than 3 hours ago, as of when this article was written.
The 24-year-old Malaysian player has been a part of OG’s journey since January 2020. The roster played together throughout the pandemic, but now OG is looking to change things up. Although he is originally a mid-lane player, he converted to off-lane and took over the carry position while playing for OG.
Sometimes even when you gave it your all, an adjustment is still needed.@midonedota2‘s talent and mischievous energy brought immense amounts of joy to everyone around him.
We all thank him immensely for everything he did for us.

Accompanying the tweet is a blog post in which OG admits that the recent results have been disappointing. However, we all know that OG is a very resilient organization, and if they feel they require a breath of fresh air in their roster, they will certainly not hesitate to do so.
MidOne with OG & who will replace him?
During his one year stint with OG, MidOne has provided some memorable performances, and OG’ captain N0tail recognizes that. His Sven and Juggernaut games have helped OG reach two grand Finals in a year. However, due to unfavourable results, and lack of competitive synergy (Ceb’s words), OG will be seeking a replacement.
“Competitive synergy is something very unique and complex. Yeik is one of the best players we have played with, and we worked very hard for months and made a lot of improvements… but unfortunately it never “clicked”. It happens sometimes.
We want to wish him the best of luck moving forward and hope he finds a great team where he can shine.”
Sébastien “Ceb” Debs (Co-owner of OG esports)
The entire community will be at the edge of their seats to find out who will be replacing MidOne in OG’s roster! The organization will be welcoming a new carry player for Season 2 of DPC, and fans have to stay tuned to know who it is.
