Ed Woodward appears to ask Phil Jones to shut up during West Ham’s 2-0 drubbing of Manchester United in the Premier League earlier in the day.
Manchester United did not have the best of outing today as they lost 2-0 to West Ham. The team’s inability to string two consecutive victories in the Premier League this season is starting to get on the nerves of fans who are quickly seeing all their hopes dissipate.
Manchester United have in fact failed to register a single away victory since defeating PSG in France back in March. However, in what should come as a respite from the horror showing on the field, a rather hilarious footage has surfaced involving the club.
Ed Woodward appears to ask Phil Jones to shut up during West Ham’s 2-0 drubbing of Manchester United
Manchester United’s Executive Vice Chairman Ed Woodward was seen in the stands watching the match. Behind him sat Phil Jones and Lee Grant. Jones and Grant appeared to be having a conversation. The camera’s then caught Woodward turning around and appearing to ask Jones to pipe down.

Ed Woodward telling Phil Jones to shut up was the highlight for me. #WHUMUN

If I were Phil Jones, I wouldn’t mind to see my contract terminated for slapping Ed Woodward’s head

Not long after, the camera followed Woodward once again. However, this time, neither Jones nor Grant were sat behind him.
Manchester United are now 7 points below Liverpool. They could very well see their difference increased to 10 if the table toppers put the game past Chelsea tonight. It is still early days though.
However, United run the risk of putting themselves in a position where it will become hard to chase the no.6th spot; let alone challenge rivals Liverpool and Manchester City.
