Eden Hazard Injury: Will Hazard play vs Celta Vigo this weekend?

Eden Hazard Injury: Will Hazard play vs Celta Vigo this weekend? Real Madrid begin their La Liga campaign tomorrow.

Real Madrid’s campaign was in shambles last season. They had hoped to overturn their fortunes this time around. To that end, they splurged in the transfer market with Eden Hazard being their highest spending. Unfortunately, it seems that they will be without the services of the Galactico this weekend.

Real Madrid have published Eden Hazard’s medical report on their website. The statement reads:

“After the tests carried out after training today on our player Eden Hazard by the Real Madrid Medical Services, he has been diagnosed with a muscular injury to the anterior part of his right thigh. His recovery will continue to be assessed.”

Spanish Journalist Lucas Navarrete has reported that Eden Hazard could be out for at least 3 to 4 weeks following the injury.

This means that it is certain that he will play no part in their La Liga opener against Celta Vigo. Real Madrid manager may have to call upon Vinicius Junior to replace the Belgian. However, he may as well choose to go ahead with 5-3-2 formation. This will allow him to play both Karim Benzema and Luka Jovic together in the front.

After their horror run in the pre-season where they only won one match; and even that came courtesy of penalties, fans have expressed no confidence in the side. However, with Hazard’s exclusion, even the ardent of optimists must be feeling a little disheartened now.

The Belgian was expected to build and lead the attack this season. Instead he will have to watch the match from the side lines now.
