Eden Hazard on Tottenham: Hazard savagely trolls Spurs on their new stadium

Eden Hazard took a brutal dig at Tottenham Hotspur as the Spurs played their first game at their new stadium in the mid-week clash against Crystal Palace.

Tottenham Hotspur made their debut at their new stadium on Wednesday night, as the side cruised to victory against Crystal Palace.

The Spurs are currently at third in the Premier League table, and face an intense fight for the top-4 against Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United.

Chelsea made an emphatic comeback in the mid-week fixture against Brighton as well, as the Blues rallied on to a 3-0 win, with goals from Giroud, Hazard and Loftus-Cheek.

As Maurizio Sarri’s men announce their comeback into the top-4 race in style, Eden Hazard took a savage dig at Tottenham Hotspur over their new stadium.

Eden Hazard on Tottenham:

The Belgian attacker was in fine form against Brighton, as he created the chance for Giroud’s first goal, scored a brilliant goal himself in the second half, and assisted Ruben Loftus-Cheek for a third.

As Chelsea faced Brighton, Tottenham also played their first game against Crystal Palace, with goals from Son and Eriksen ensuring the three points at the Tottenham Hotspur stadium.

“I think Tottenham, for two or three years, have been one of the best teams in England. That is for sure,” Hazard said as the side beat Brighton.

“We are Chelsea, and it is a big derby. I don’t like that to be fair, but we have to accept it. For the Premier League it is good – a new stadium, they have top players.”

The Chelsea attacker then stated that Tottenham haven’t won trophies, and wants the run to continue.

“But, at the end, at Chelsea, we won a lot of trophies, they have not, so I hope this continues. I think that I like that because people are not talking about Chelsea for the top four. We are quiet, fifth, sixth and then we can be ready for the game,” said Hazard.
