Gareth Bale at Real Madrid: The Welsh forward has reportedly taken a decision on his Real Madrid future.

The defending champions of Europe have struggled ever since the beginning of the new season. Real Madrid is yet to seemingly recover from the departure of Zinedine Zidane and Cristiano Ronaldo. The injury crisis has further worsened the situation for Julen Lopetegui.

Real Madrid is currently on a four-match goalless run across all competitions this season. The club lost their first match in the Champions League in 30 games against CSKA Moscow last week. Later, in the La Liga, they conceded the only goal of the match in injury time against Deportivo Alaves.

The speculation over Julen Lopetegui’s future at the club has begun, and Florentino Perez has been urged to make some signings by the Real Madrid fans. The club oversaw the departure of Danilo, Morata, Ronaldo, and Kovacic in the last two years. In return, Real Madrid’s only significant signings were Courtois, Mariano, and Odriozola.

However, the Los Blancos fans can have some respite over the situation of Gareth Bale at the club. After months of speculation over his future, it is finally understood that Bale wants to stay.

Gareth Bale at Real Madrid:

After the Champions League final, the Welsh forward spoke on his lack of game time, insisting that he wants to play more and will have a meeting with Real Madrid over the issue. However, as Zidane departed and Lopetegui succeeded him, Gareth Bale has become the main man at Real, with Ronaldo leaving for Juventus.

Daily Express, the English media outlet reports that Gareth Bale is happy at Real Madrid and doesn’t want to switch to the Premier League.

Before arriving at the Spanish capital, Bale used to play for Tottenham Hotspur.

Clubs like Manchester United, Chelsea and Tottenham were reportedly interested in signing the Welsh forward.

What next?

Gareth Bale is likely to make a comeback for Real Madrid after the end of the international break. Lopetegui’s side will face Levante in the La Liga, where they will be aiming to end their goalless run, before returning to Champions League action against Victoria Plzen.
