Elneny to leave Arsenal

Mohamed Elneny told to leave Arsenal in January as he seeks to play regularly.

Arsenal midfielder Mohamed Elneny has been told by one of the former Egyptian coaches to leave the Gunners should he find a potential suitor in the January transfer window.

It is understood that there have been tactical discrepancies between the player and the manager, according to Goal. The 26-year-old has started only one game in the Premier League this term, with rest six coming in the Europa League and the League cup.

According to Hamdy Nouh, coach of Elneny’s former team El Mokawloon, he must leave the Gunners to play regularly.

“He needs to leave Arsenal in the next transfer market, at least on loan to play more and regain his confidence,”

“He has been influenced lately by the change in coach and his new style, but I am confident that he will return better than before, because of his great potential and the competitive spirit that will help him get back in.”

“He is one of the best players I have trained, he has a constant desire to learn and develop. He is committed to the coach’s instructions on and off the pitch, which always helps him to be present mainly with most of the teams he has played for.

“Like all the players I’ve dealt with, I’ve tried to create a professional atmosphere for him from the time he was young, with closed camps, specific sleeping times, training and eating to get used to the professional atmosphere, which he always adhered to.

“I tried to develop his ability to shoot from long distances and play offensively.”

The midfielder was signed by Arsene Wenger in the 2016 January transfer window, and he has gone on to make 78 appearances during this span of time. He has never hit the heights he is expected under both the manager having caught the eye of several scouts when he was with the Swiss side.

Claude Puel’s Leicester City tried to sign him during the summer of 2017, but the Egyptian turned the move down as he did not want to leave the Gunners at that point of time. But, with very little game time, he might want to swap himself to another club to play regularly and gain confidence.

During the month of November, there were plenty of reports quoting that Leicester City are ready to match the 15 million Euros bid for the midfielder who is seeking a new adventure away from the Emirates.

Arsenal are currently trying to pursue a deal for Ever Banega, which will drastically limit the game time for the Egyptian.

He might not have started games regularly, but Elneny will not find it harder to find a new suitor as he has an abundance of experience in his bag already.

Arsenal invite their London rivals Fulham to the Emirates on Tuesday as they prepare to kick off the new year in a good fashion.
