Let’s take a look at what we know so far –
A very special Indian connection –
The two teams involved in this project are Ubisoft’s very own Pune and Mumbai studios. The Mumbai studio was in charge of the content, art and animation. The Pune team handled the technical part. With some help from Ubisoft Paris the project culminated in two years and had over 170 employees working on it. This also marks the remake as India’s first end-to-end console development.
Some new additions and changes-
While the remake will follow the original 2003 game’s Storyline and characters, Ubisoft has come up with some changes. The Remake runs on a version of the Anvil game engine, Ubisoft’s internal engine it uses for Assassin’s Creed games. As per today’s standards control is modernized along with a new camera and combat. The original game’s aesthetics are retained, while all the features are enhanced.
Yuri Lowenthal: The voice of the Prince –
The remake also has Yuri Lowenthal reprising his role as the original voice behind the Prince. Fans will remember how Yuri’s wit and charm made the Prince more endearing. Moreover, he has also done the motion capture for the game. Guidestones actress Supinder Wraich plays the role of the Princess, Farah. The Indian teams also consulted with Prince Of Persia creator Jordan Mechner in pre-production.
Thank you, Ubisoft Mumbai and Ubisoft Pune, for helping me to rewind time for real. #UbiForward #PrinceofPersiaRemake #timeisanoceaninastorm pic.twitter.com/IZVwrjL0R1
