The talks between Aaron Ramsey and Arsenal for a new contract have broken down, according to BBC journalist David Ornstein. A new contract was initially agreed, but Arsenal withdrew their offer later, and are in no position to resume talks, according to Ornstein.
Mirror reports that Arsenal are now eyeing a replacement for Aaron Ramsey, with Ever Banega being the frontrunner.
Arsenal have been linked with Ever Banega in the summer transfer window, but no deal was eventually offered for the midfielder.
The midfielder, who currently plays for Sevilla, has been a key member for every club he’s played for. Ever Banega has been a first-team regular for Valencia, Atletico Madrid, Inter Milan and Sevilla throughout his playing career.
Mirror claims that the Argentine international would be available on a free transfer next summer, but Arsenal are eyeing a January move for the player.

According to the report, Arsenal don’t want to risk losing the midfielder to another European club.

Reports from Calciomercato suggest that Juventus are interested in the player, but are hesitant to sign Ramsey on a fee in January. Instead, they’ll wait till next summer to snap the 27-year-old for free.
