"Alfa Romeo was born on the race track" - Sauber extend partnership agreement with Italian giants

“Alfa Romeo was born on the race track” – Sauber has announced an extension of their branding agreement with Alfa Romeo Racing.

Sauber is set to continue its long-term association with F1 after it extended its branding deal with Alfa Romeo. The engineering giants announced the agreement, as both parties continue to contribute in shaping “the future of the car industry”.

“The work we have done in the automotive world has shown the extent of the technology and manufacturing skills of Sauber Engineering. We are confident we can continue working for Alfa Romeo on new and exciting projects that will shape the future of the car industry.”

Born to Race

Alfa Romeo is a member of the Stellantis group, made up of brands from the Fiat-Chrysler and Peugeot Groups. It will experience a name change to ‘Alfa e-Romeo’ from 2024, as they look to embrace the electronic fuelling technology.

Jean-Philippe Imparato, the CEO of the car company, expressed delight at the extension of the partnership. Alfa Romeo was a top team in the sport during its early years. The team is currently P8 on the Constructors’ Standings.

“As a historic Italian automotive brand, Alfa Romeo was born on the race track. Today we are proud to continue honouring that racing DNA by placing it at heart of the future of our Brand. We are driven by passion and excellence.

“Formula 1 represents a cutting-edge laboratory for the future electrification of our range, fully coherent with our vision for the coming years. Furthermore, motorsport brings the incomparable global exposure we wish to leverage for a successful future.”
