Charles Leclerc can be called a generational talent based on his speed on the track. The 25-year-old Monegasque has been tipped to break Ferrari’s 17-year wait to claim the driver’s title. However, the 2023 season has so far not gone his way.
The Ferrari driver has suffered retirements in two of the season’s first three races. He has just secured 6 points, making it his worst start to an F1 season. While the Monegaque has struggled on track, he has found solace with music.
Charles Leclerc features on the Top 10 with a new piano piece
Fans have been missing racing ever since the chequered flag dropped at Melbourne. In the 4-week gap between the Australian GP and Azerbaijan GP, Charles Leclerc recorded and released a single for all his fans.
The Ferrari driver dropped his first musical release, “AUS23 (1:1),” based on his experience racing in Australia. The soothing 4 minute piano piece quickly became a fan favorite. His debut single has been featured in iTunes Top 10 Songs Worldwide charts within 24 hours of release.

Leclerc did not enjoy great success on track during the actual race. He spun into the gravel trap at turn 1 within the first lap of the race. Funnily, his race did not last as long as his musical piece about it. Regardless, it seems like the Mongasque has enjoyed better success off-track!
Leclerc does not consider himself a musician yet
Almost everyone who follows Charles Leclerc on social media knows how good he is on the piano. The Monegasque occasionally drops stories or posts videos of him playing his white Steinway piano in his Monaco home.
With his recent track’s success, many believe Leclerc might be tempted to pursue music. However, the Ferrari driver said in his story that he remains focused on racing.
He said, “My love for music has always been there, but it wasn’t until the pandemic that I started playing the piano. With more time at home, I decided to buy a piano and learn to play. Since then, I’ve fallen in love with the instrument and find myself playing it whenever I’m at home.”
Funnily, Leclerc had hinted in a video posted by F1 that he wished to release music. The driver admitted that he was working on a song just one week before dropping his musical debut.
