Charles Leclerc Forces Arrest of His $330,000 Watch Thieves While Chasing Them in $850,000 Ferrari

In the latest development, Italian police arrested four people for stealing Charles Leclerc’s watch. The Ferrari driver’s luxury Richard Mille watch was stolen from the Italian seaside resort of Viareggio last year.

The luxury watch worth $330,000 was stolen when two people approached the Prancing Horse pilot on a motorcycle. They were with their helmets on and asked the driver for a selfie.

The police have also revealed images of Leclerc chasing the thieves in his Ferrari, which came as an important clue. The Monegasque owns a tailor-made Ferrari 488 Pista Spider, which comes with an astonishing worth of $850,000.

However, as per Reuters, an investigative source said they aren’t sure if they found Leclerc’s watch. They are yet to confirm if the watches found by the thieves have a Richard Mille in them and belong to the Ferrari driver.

Details of the watch investigation

As per reports from Corriere Del Mezzogiorno and Il Mattino, Italian police were able to trace back the luxury watch. According to the officials in charge of the case, the watch is believed to have been found in Naples.

However, it’s still unsure if that one belongs to the driver. The burglars were stationed in Naples, where they went to sell the watch to a man who deals with stolen luxury items.

While selling the watch in a place located between Cavone and the Spanish Quarters, the perpetrators found it difficult to deal with the RM67-02. Being a special edition watch from Richard Mille, it had Charles Leclerc’s initial printed on it and was hence hard to go with.

Leclerc’s $330,000 Richard Mille watch also costs $2.1 million

The 25-year-old driver had a brilliant Richard Mille timepiece in his possession. A one-of-a-kind ultra-luxury watch by the Swiss watchman Richard Mille costs around a million.

However, reports say Leclerc’s watch costs around $330,000, but a watch of the same kind was sold in 2022 for over two million dollars. According to the italianwatchspotter.com website, the Richard Mille RM67-02 was sold for a whopping $2.1 million.

The Monegasque driver proudly wore his expensive timepiece whenever he was on the paddock or outside until it was stolen just ahead of the 2022 Italian Grand Prix.
