Charles Leclerc Likes Fan's Post About Max Verstappen and 'Princess' George Russell's 'Appearance' at the Met Gala

Max Verstappen and George Russell have recently been all over the news after their fallout last weekend at the Azerbaijan Grand Prix. Following the two drivers’ heated exchange, Charles Leclerc has brilliantly used this opportunity to create humor among his fans by liking a hilarious Tweet.

A Tweet put up by a fan named Chels features an edited image of Verstappen alongside Russell at the Met Gala. What made the fan’s post even more hilarious is that he referred to Russell as a ‘princess,’ something the Dutchman called him after their heated altercation at the Azerbaijan GP.

Chels, who put up the original Tweet, expressed their disbelief after Charles Leclerc liked their post. They put out several subsequent posts to explain their ‘shock’.

Meanwhile, some other fans such as Dani found this post as the ‘funniest’ Twitter interaction between Leclerc and Max Verstappen.

And then there were some fans such as Gargi who hoped that Russell and Verstappen would see this post.

What happened between George Russell and Max Verstappen?

Max Verstappen fumed at George Russell after the Mercedes driver made contact with the Dutchman’s Red Bull during the sprint race of the Azerbaijan Grand Prix last weekend. Following the incident, Verstappen confronted the Briton at parc ferme after the race before going on to slam him in his post-race interviews.

In one of his post-race interviews, the Red Bull driver said (as quoted by crash.net), “[Defending the position] is not allowed because ‘Princess George’ is there. At the end of the day, that’s his problem too“. While Russell defended himself by stating that he had ‘cold tires,’ Verstappen was having none of this excuse.

The Dutchman referred to the incident as ‘inexcusable’ and made it clear that the Briton was just ‘clumsy’. Ever since this altercation took place between the two, F1 fans have posted several memes of the two on social media. And the edited image of Verstappen and Russell at the Meta Gala is one of the many memes that fans have put out.
