"My Songs Are Always Born Like This": Charles Leclerc Explains the Process He Has to Produce His Music

Ahead of the Spanish GP, Charles Leclerc provided some important insight into how he produces his music. The Monegasque has made quite an impression in the F1 paddock for how multitalented he is after his debut single, AUS23, reached as high as the top ten of iTunes’ newly released music charts a few months ago.

When asked in a recent interview if he has more songs up his sleeve, Leclerc replied, “I play as soon as I get home in Monte Carlo. Three days ago I got on the piano and I came out with something I liked. My songs are always born like this. I know how to read music, but I am really slow, so I never do it“.

The 25-year-old added that he lets himself get carried away by his notes for two to three hours before he is able to decide if his music is worthy of uploading or not. Leclerc concluded his remarks by stating that only once satisfied, he uploads his music.

Charles Leclerc didn’t release a song after Monaco because he didn’t win

Ahead of his home race in Monaco last weekend, Charles Leclerc made an interesting deal with an interviewer. The interviewer asked him to promise that if he won his home race, then he would release a new song.

Leclerc was initially reluctant to accept the deal, stating that he did not have enough time on his hands to release a new song. However, after being pressurized, he ultimately said yes.

The Monegasque has so far released two songs: AUS23 and MIA23. Leclerc gave his music the name of the Grand Prix to have an idea of when he released his songs.

Leclerc makes it clear his music has no links to how his season has begun

Considering the names that Charles Leclerc has given to his music, many fans feared that the Monegasque did so because of how disappointing his 2023 season has been so far. However, the 25-year-old dismissed these claims in a recent interview.

When asked in an interview with Monaco Matin if his music reflects his mood, Leclerc replied, “Yes and no“. The 25-year-old then added that he is just a fan of “depressing music” but that this does not mean that he is always sad.

Leclerc then went on to answer the popular fan query about whether his music had any links to how his season has begun. “This published music does not represent the races I ran. Although unfortunately, the start of the season that I had, it could,” he explained.
