Charles Leclerc Reveals It Was Just a Coincidence That His "Depressing Music" Related to How His 2023 Season Began

Charles Leclerc has once again opened up on the reasons for why he chooses to produce ‘depressing‘ music. The Monegasque once again stated that he prefers such kind of music and that it has nothing to do with his results on track. However, he did admit that it just so happens that he has had similar results to the kind of music he produces.

When asked if the music he composes on the piano is a reflection of his moods, the 25-year-old replied in a conversation with Monaco Matin, “Yes and no“. He stated that he is just a fan of “depressing music” and it does not mean that he is “sad all day long“.

Leclerc then added, “And this published music does not represent the races I ran. Although unfortunately, the start of the season that I had, it could“. The Monegasque ended his remarks by stating that since he did not know what names to give to his singles, he “gave them the name of the Grands Prix” to have an idea of when he launched them.

Charles Leclerc open to collaborating with Lewis Hamilton

While speaking in a recent interview with Gala in the build-up to the Monaco Grand Prix, Charles Leclerc said that he would be open to collaborating with Lewis Hamilton to produce music. Leclerc said that since he knows that Hamilton sings, he feels it would be ‘cool‘ if he can play the piano and the Briton sang.

However, Leclerc did admit that such a collaboration is unlikely to happen anytime soon, with him having spoken to Hamilton about the same. Since both Leclerc and Hamilton are so busy with their F1 schedules, it does seem that a collaboration between any of the drivers is likely to be difficult for as long as they race against each other.

My music is not that good“: Leclerc has often been his own biggest critic

Charles Leclerc was the talk of the town at the Miami Grand Prix earlier this year, having released his first hit single, AUS23, just a few weeks before that race. AUS23 was such a hit that it also reached the top 10 of iTunes’ list for newly released music.

Despite receiving worldwide acclaim, Leclerc played down his achievement by stating during his press conference, “I mean, my music is not that good. I am a racing driver and I did that for fun“. After releasing AUS23, Leclerc also released MIA23, which also received immense praise from his fans.
