Red Bull boss Christian Horner has been a Formula 1 fanatic since his childhood. He even participated in British Formula 2 but then soon turned his interest to owning and managing a team.
As a child, he used to watch F1 and one time he saw Ayrton Senna with his TAG Heuer logo and soon he wanted that.
He recalled that he had won a race in Monaco which at the time was known as Formula 3000(now known as Formula 2) and got a cash prize from Bernie Ecclestone. He wondered about whether or not to spend the money eventually deciding to treat himself with a present for his victory.
The Briton went to the Nice airport and bought himself a TAG Heuer Monza as a souvenir. Horner told the story as he was gifted a TAG Heuer Monza Flyback Chronometer Skeleton by Frederic Arnault, head of the watch company.
Although, despite having the brand new luxurious wristwatch in his hand, Horner revealed that he still owns the one he bought from Nice airport.

Horner ranks his first title with Vettel at the top
The Briton won 2 drivers’ championship titles in a row and also the long-awaited constructors’ title in the 2022 season.
Red Bull finally succeeded in ending Mercedes’ 8-year-long domination in the sport. For Horner, individually in his 18 years as the head of the Red Bull F1 team, he has enjoyed 11 championship titles. Of which five are constructors’ and six are drivers’ titles.
But, among all of them, Horner feels that the first one he won with Sebastian Vettel in 2010 was the best one. He said, “It’s always very important to get the first one under your belt.”
