Christian Horner Reveals Red Bull’s Alternate Identity in the F1 Paddock: “We’re Really Bad…”

Christian Horner has unraveled the unique identity of Red Bull in a recent interview. Talking about his team, the Red Bull honcho shared that his team is also known as the “Hooligans” of the sport.

Speaking on this in the Pardon My Take talk show, Horner said, “That’s absolutely us. We’re a bit edgy” when asked about who the Hooligans in F1 are. “We play our music loud, we’re a really bad neighbor,” he further shared.

Explaining what he means by being edgy and different, the British executive added, “You know everybody’s enjoying what they’re doing. They’re doing it with a smile on their face. We do things a bit differently.”

Following this, Horner went on to state that the team members in Red Bull aren’t as corporate as other teams are. Nobody in the team’s factory wears a tie, it’s very much a jeans and t-shirt kind of culture, which is fairly unique in this sport, the 49-year-old asserted.

Horner snubbed Hamilton to hail Verstappen as the most in-form driver

Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton have been the top drivers in the sport for a fair amount of time. Mostly in the last half-decade, the duo has absolutely been on top of their game.

Given their records, it’s hard to differentiate them. However, for Horner, the Dutchman holds an edge over the Briton as he recently shared his thoughts on the defending champion.

Speaking on the talk show, the 49-year-old declared, “Max has been the most in-form driver arguably in the last five years.”

The boss picks up his favorite between Verstappen and Perez

While there’s been a lot of ongoing talks regarding Verstappen being the number one driver in Red Bull, and Perez not getting enough support.

Amid all these, the boss of the defending champions finally made his decision clear about the two drivers of his team, who are currently battling for supremacy in the 2023 F1 season.

Horner has declined to favor one driver over the other while talking to the talk show. The Red Bull team principal stated that he loves both the children [drivers] equally, much to the disappointment of either fan base.
