Daniel Ricciardo Places His Bets to Watch McLaren Boss Get Pulped by Toto “Alpha Male” Wolff

Zak Brown recently challenged his Mercedes counterpart to a boxing match in Las Vegas in order to spice up the weekend. Surely the fight of the century, the general concern was the difference in physical stature between the two. Daniel Ricciardo, on the other hand, has his popcorn ready.

In light of the buzz surrounding the Las Vegas Grand Prix’s inaugural season, Brown has summoned the heavyweight of team principals to step into the ring, donning his gloves. Ballsy, he stated, “When we go Vegas, what’s Vegas known for? Little boxing match? I’m ready.”

Although Wolff is yet to agree, the prospect of a showdown between the two team leaders has piqued the interest of fans who are willing to pay to witness the spectacle.

Daniel Ricciardo on witnessing Zak Brown v Toto Wolff

On the Eff Won podcast with Dax Shepard, Ricciardo was asked if Brown did the wrong thing by challenging Horner for racing and Wolff for boxing instead of the other way around. Ricciardo stifled his laughter. He knew what would happen if Brown got into the ring with Wolff.

“Toto’s a specimen. Totos an athlete. So no, I wouldn’t want to get in a ring with Toto. so that could be a blunder for sure.” With no hope either way, even a battle with Horner would be futile. Ricciardo couldn’t help but shake his head at it. “Ah it’s tough.”

Ricciardo even later describes Wolff’s aura in the paddock, coming to the conclusion that the Mercedes man is simply an “alpha male.”

After the torturous two years at McLaren and ending with the team on such bad terms, with the $18 million in his wallet, surely watching Brown get beat up would be the cherry on top.

Bad blood with Zak Brown

Daniel Ricciardo signed a multi-year contract with McLaren after leaving Renault following a successful second season. However, the Netflix documentary series “Drive to Survive” has exposed that Ricciardo was warned not to join McLaren by former Renault boss Cyril Abiteboul.

In a conversation before the 2020 Dutch Grand Prix, Abiteboul advised Ricciardo, “I told you not to trust Zak.” Despite this, McLaren denied rumors that they signed 21-year-old Australian driver Oscar Piastri while Ricciardo was still unaware of his future with the team. Ricciardo has since left McLaren and has been replaced by Piastri.

The entire hullabaloo behind McLaren’s treatment of their created a big media racket. However, now with his Red Bull homecoming, the smile is back and the energy is back. Give it some time, and we might just have the Honey Badger back on track.
