Despite Being a Taylor Swift Fan, Lewis Hamilton Once Chose These Two American Rappers His All-Time Favorite Singers

Lewis Hamilton loves music. He is so fond of the art that he once tried to ply his trade in the industry by releasing a song with Christina Aguilera. He also owns the legendary $100,000 guitar earlier used by Prince.

Seeing his interest in music, it seems he loves it at par with motorsport, if not more. The Mercedes star even likes to keep himself in the loop with some of the greatest hits released across the year and, at the same time, is also in touch with some fringe artists.

His old declaration supports the above claim. SkySports once asked the entire F1 grid which music personalities are their favorites, Hamilton came out with the most unlikely names.

Lewis Hamilton snubs Taylor Swift

The seven-time world champion claims to be a fan of the Weeknd, and in 2016 ahead of the US Grand Prix also called himself an admirer of Taylor Swift and was keen to attend her concert. However, while choosing an all-time favorite, the Mercedes star had a unique answer.

“Lewis Hamilton says he is a fan of The Weeknd and also met Swift at a recent fashion show in New York, but he went for less mainstream choices by American rapper Ty Dolla $ign and hip-hop artist MadeinTYO,” claimed a report by SkySports in 2016.

Ty Dolla $ign and MaidenTYO are undoubtedly popular singers. However, compared to Swift and the Weeknd, their fanbase is quite smaller, and their work is relatively less popular. So, Hamilton’s music knowledge over here should be praised.

Mercedes star enters Hollywood!

If motorsports are Hamilton’s first love, then the entertainment and fashion business is also something in which he shows keen interest. Last year, he announced a movie he is producing along with Brad Pitt based on Formula 1.

The movie doesn’t have a release date yet, but it is currently going through its making and is reportedly set to shoot a few scenes during the British Grand Prix. It will see Pitt in the protagonist’s role. Meanwhile, Hamilton is unlikely to appear on the screen.

The seven-time world champion reveals that he enjoys the production role and would limit himself to mentoring things. But on-screen appearance, for now, is a big no.
