Esteban Ocon F1: Dutch reporter shows remorse for calling Renault driver a 'French F***'

Esteban Ocon F1: Dutch reporter apologizes for calling Esteban Ocon, a ‘French f***’ while interviewing Lando Norris after Belgian Grand Prix.

After the end of Belgian Grand Prix, a Dutch reporter from Ziggo called Esteban Ocon a ‘French F***’ while asking about the battle between the two on track.

Now, the journalist has shown regret for using those words against the Renault driver and has tweeted to publicly apologize for his alleged mistake during the interview.

There was a commotion about my question to @LandoNorris  about @OconEsteban. Both are top athletes and I have never the intention to harm or abuse anybody!! @ZiggoSportF1 Apologies!!” he tweeted.

Ocon reportedly made no response to and haven’t made any public statement about this. But it is certain, a huge section of fans were not impressed by this.

While Norris was asked this question, the British driver was shocked by the journalist’s conduct and couldn’t muster a response and ended up bursting a little laugh.
Though in response to the journalist, Norris said, “The Renault slowed up a lot, almost stopped on the track. For me and in my eyes, you are not allowed to go unnecessarily slowly,” he said.
Renault overall had a better day at work as Daniel Ricciardo finished at P4, just 3 seconds below the podium, while Ocon followed him after defeating Alex Albon for P5.

Mclaren still had a decent day considering they faced an early setback with Carlos Sainz not being able to start in the race due to an exhaust failure, but Norris fetched point by coming 7th.
