Fans Believe $320,000 Worth Reason Behind Charles Leclerc Securing Pole in Azerbaijan GP

Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc delivered an impressive performance at the qualifying of the Azerbaijan Grand Prix and succeeded in securing his much-awaited pole position. Rejoiced by the achievement, fans all over the world could not help but connect the dots that finally led the Monegasque to the P1 result.

Leclerc became the first driver to score 3 back-to-back pole positions at the Baku City Circuit. Recently, he also became the first driver to release a self-composed song and top the charts in iTunes. But that’s not all that the 25-year-old Ferrari star achieved in the last few weeks.

Earlier this month, Italian authorities revealed a video of Leclerc chasing watch thieves in his custom-made Ferrari. The Ferrari star had his watch stolen last year when some fans approached him to take a few pictures with him and slipped the $320,000 worth Richard Mille special edition watch off his hand.

Fans point out what Charles Leclerc needed to win

Following the turn of events, some fans have put together the pieces to conclude the reason behind Leclerc’s win. Although looking at his past records from Azerbaijan, it is clear that Leclerc is a master of the twisty tracks of the Baku City Circuit.

One of the fans on Twitter pointed out that all Leclerc needed was his watch and a sad song to get back to claiming the top position.

Meanwhile, another fan pointed out that only Leclerc could bag these many positive things in a short span of time.

What’s next for Leclerc?

Despite having taken three back-to-back pole positions in Baku, Leclerc has been unable to convert the last two of them into a win. Leclerc’s overall pole-to-victory ratio is quite unusual while on the other hand, his rival Max Verstappen does not fail to do so.

The Dutchman has shown consistency in the last two seasons which has continued even in 2023. Nevertheless, for Leclerc to finally grab his first victory of the 2023 season, Ferrari will need to come up with a fuelling strategy to manage the tires given the warm weather at the Baku Circuit.
