Fans Delighted to See Toto Wolff's Son Jack Use Lewis Hamilton's Car Number for Karting

Mercedes team principal Toto Wolff has gained quite the popularity over the past decade thanks to his side’s staggering success. The Silver Arrows dominated the turbo hybrid era as they won a record eighth Constructors’ Championships from 2014 to 2021.

As a result of Toto’s increase in popularity, the rest of his family also often find themselves in the news. His son, Jack Wolff, was recently seen taking part in karting in car number 44. This car number is iconic as it belongs to seven-time F1 world champion Lewis Hamilton.

F1 fans react as Jack Wolff takes part in karting

Since Jack Wolff takes part in karting with car number 44, many fans stated that he will be a future world champion like the great Lewis Hamilton. Since Hamilton races for Toto Wolff’s Mercedes F1 team, it is no surprise that the Austrian team principal would want his son to follow in the footsteps of the Briton as well.

Lewis Hamilton is undoubtedly one of the greatest F1 drivers of all time

With a joint record of seven F1 world championships to his name alongside the legendary Michael Schumacher, Lewis Hamilton is undoubtedly one of the greatest of all time. The 38-year-old’s records go beyond championships as he has not only won the most number of races (103) but has also clinched the most pole positions (103).

Despite winning almost everything that is there to win the sport, Hamilton is still hungry for more success as he continues to chase a record eighth world championship. The closest the Briton came to achieving this feat was in the 2021 season when he lost the title to reigning double-world champion Max Verstappen by just eight points.

Since then, Hamilton and Mercedes seem to have lost their way. Last year, the 38-year-old finished sixth in the championship with 240 points, a whopping 214 points behind champion Verstappen. And now this season, Hamilton already finds himself 31 points behind the Dutchman after three races.
