Amidst the three-week-long Formula 1 break, Fernando Alonso has garnered immense attention due to his dating rumors with Taylor Swift. Nothing certain can be said of it, but some of the Spanish publications claim to spot the two together.

The reports instantly went viral and propelled several F1 fans to react to it. But only a few days ago, Swift reportedly broke up with her boyfriend, Joe Alwyn.

Well, if Alonso is truly dating Swift, which hasn’t had any concrete evidence so far, then it wouldn’t be for the first time that he has started out as a rebound. His relationship with ex-girlfriend Linda Morselli has a similar story.

Fernando Alonso became the immediate fix for Linda Morselli’s heart

Not long before Alonso started dating Morselli, the latter was dating Moto GP legend, Valentino Rossi. The two in the end had a bad break up, with them having no chance of reconciliation.

According to Business F1, as soon as Alonso learned about the Morselli-Rossi split, he was quick to approach the Italian model. The Spaniard made his intentions clear, and they soon started dating.

However, Morselli was dating Rossi for five years before the breakup. So, the Italian dating Alonso right after separating from Rossi could initially suggest that the F1 superstar can be a rebound.

But even if that’s true, the relationship between the two came out of that phase. As per BusinessF1, Morselli soon fell in love with Alonso. “It was very easy to fall in love with Fernando. He is a wonderful man, very affectionate, and loves sports. He is very romantic. I’m very Italian. I love it when he takes my hand,” said Morselli.

Nevertheless, mostly all good things erode with time. Alonso and Morselli separated in 2021. But if Alonso is actually dating Swift, then it would be a Morselli Deja-vu moment for him.

The internet has gone wild

While Alonso and Swift’s story is still gaining enough traction for several days, the internet hasn’t been behind in showing off their meme game. Several people on Twitter found the possible link hilarious.

Many even targeted Alonso for being shorter than Swift. In short, the entire F1 community had a field day with the Swift and Alonso story going viral.

Amidst all of this Alonso is now set to appear in Azerbaijan for the fourth race of the year. He would be eyeing to continue his streak on the podium, while Red Bull is marching towards yet another championship win.
