"For Perez there is nothing impossible"- Helmut Marko on Sergio Perez

“For Perez there is nothing impossible”- Helmut Marko, impressed by Sergio Perez’s qualities, tipped him to be successful with Red Bull.

Sergio Perez is currently giving his every second to Red Bull’s factory to know the car as soon as possible before the 2021 season starts. While observing Perez, it has been reported that Helmut Marko is impressed by him.

According to Kronen Zeitung’s report, Marko has only good things to say about Perez while discussing the Mexican’s initial days with the team.

“I have to say that Sergio is very well integrated into the team. He has already given us valuable information, especially about the Mercedes engine.”

“You can immediately see that he has been in Formula 1 for 10 years; his experience stands out.” said. Marko knows that Max Verstappen and Perez will want to outdo each other.

“His relationship with Max has been fine so far. There has been no argument or conflict so far. Everything is moving as it should. We’ll see what happens when the races start.”

“I can see that they both want to get over each other. After all, Max wants to prove himself, and Checo wants to prove that many people were wrong by belittling him.”

Marko is not the only one in Red Bull’s leadership department to be impressed by Perez. A few days ago, even Christian Horner shared his admiration for Perez.

Factors need to be reviewed before the contract extension.

Perez is only on a year-long contract with Red Bull with an option of activating the second year. Marko has then clarified that few factors need to be considered before the decision is made.

“Before we decide to renew a contract with Perez, we will need to consider many variables, including compatibility between our drives,” he said.

“We need to see if the two are working well and whether we are generally as competitive as we would like. But for Perez, there is nothing impossible about 2022.”
