Williams is a huge name in Formula 1 and is one of the most successful teams in the sport’s history. However, over the last few years, they’ve declined massively and now spend the majority of their time on the wrong end of the grid. This is something they would like to correct, heading into the 2023 season.
2022 was a very disappointing year for Williams once again. They showed plenty of promise in the 2021 campaign, by fighting for points and even earning a podium finish at the Belgian Grand Prix. However, they took a big step back in 2022 as they finished last in the Constructors Championship.
Alex Albon did produce some memorable moments throughout the course of 2022, but overall for Williams, the year was underwhelming. Now that the 2023 season is just around the corner, their focus has shifted to making sure that they make big strides this year.

Logan Sargeant and Alex Albon looking to make big strids
2022 was a disappointing year for Williams. Albon did guide them to points finishes on more than one occasions, but the gap between him and Nicholas Latifi was too big. Latifi scored two points throughout the course of the season himself, but that did not impress the management. In fact, Nyck de Vries, who stood in for Alex Albon at the Italian GP, scored two points in his one and only race for them.
Midway into the campaign, Williams revealed that they will let go of Latifi. De Vries, who stood in for Albon and impressed was linked to the seat for a while, but he ended up joining AlphaTauri instead.
