‘Happy’ Charles Leclerc Finally Reveals Why ‘Depressing’ Music Intrigues Him After Producing Multiple Hit Singles
Charles Leclerc has opened up on why he produces ‘depressing‘ music and the message that he wanted to send out to his fans with his first hit single, AUS23. The Monegasque in various interviews has often stated that most of his music is ‘depressing‘ but has not given much insight into the reasons behind it.
When asked about the same in a recent interview, Leclerc said, “I am always happy. But I love depressive music. I am like this. I cannot change it. Even when I am happy, I listen to depressive music. So there was no message“.
Leclerc has previously often referred to his music as ‘depressing‘
In a previous interview, when the interviewer praised Charles Leclerc for AUS23 by raising prospects of ‘conquering America‘ with his music, the Monegasque told him that if his fans were ready to listen to ‘depressing music,’ then he was perhaps the person to go to. A modest Leclerc then concluded his comments by stating that his ‘music is not that good‘ and that he just creates it for fun.

This was not the first time that the Ferrari driver made such remarks as he also replied in a similar fashion when asked if he was keen on collaborating with Lewis Hamilton. In reply, Leclerc said (as quoted by Tami) that he would enjoy doing such a collaboration, provided the Mercedes driver is interested in singing a ‘depression song‘.
Charles on a potential musical collaboration with Lewis.
Charles: “It will be cool because I think Lewis is singing. I don’t know what type of song he’s singing; if he’s happy to sing in a depression song…then I might be the one he goes to.”

Charles Leclerc made headlines with AUS23
Charles Leclerc was all over the news after he released his first hit single, AUS23, last month. The song was such a hit that it also reached the top 10 of iTunes’ newly released music. Moreover, social media also flooded with posts that hailed the 25-year-old for how multitalented he is.
Despite receiving all this praise, Leclerc continued to remain modest and played down his talents. When asked about the same in an official interview last month, the Monegasque stated that he was ‘very surprised’ with how well his song was doing. He just stated that he knew it would make a ‘little bit of noise’ as it is unusual for an F1 driver to produce music.
