Fernando Alonso Cycling Accident : During the late hours of Thursday, several reports flew in informing that Fernando Alonso has been injured in a major car accident in Switzerland while doing his cycle training.
Initial reports told that the Spaniard might have received multiple fractures and lost teeth. However, a report by Marca lessened the odds of injury being so severe.
Coming into picture, Alonso himself confirmed that he is alright and would soon join this contingent, he wrote this in reply to a statement made by Alpine on Twitter.
“Thanks for all your wishes, I’m ok and looking forward to getting 2021 underway.💪💪💪💪
Let’s gooooooooooooooo,” tweeted Alonso.

Therefore, reinforcing the report published by Marca that Alonso will be ready for Alpine by the time the test session in Bahrain will be started.

Multiple F1 drivers and teams prayed for his recovery.
Soon after Alonso’s accident got viral on social media. Several of his contemporaries and other teams came in to pass their well wishes to the 39-year-old race driver.
His compatriot Carlos Sainz was among the first to express his concern and told him to recover fast. Whereas, Aston Martin and former team McLaren also hoped for fast recovery.

On the other hand, Alpine didn’t reveal many details about Alonso’s health and remained till the minimal amount of information, and disclaiming in the start that no further notices would be served by the team regarding Alonso until it’s of utmost importance.
The Spaniard is set to perform for Alonso from this year onwards, marking his return to the sport, after a two-year long spell in IndyCar racing. Meanwhile, Esteban Icon would be joining him in the rebranded adventure of the French Racing team.
