"I've been doing since karting"– Why Mick Schumacher check other cars after races?

“I’ve been doing since karting”– Mick Schumacher reveals why he have a peek at the other cars after every race; he thinks it’s beneficial.

Mick Schumacher, after his debut, disclosed a peculiar habit of having a peek at the other cars; obviously, all of them are currently faster than his Haas.

But recently, he talked about why he does that, and he confessed, he has been doing it since he was in his karting days, and it allows him to learn.

“Let’s say like this has been something that I’ve been doing since karting really,” Schumacher told select members of the media, including RacingNews365“And, it’s always good to know this, especially how tyres look of other cars to be able to understand and learn from that.”

“Because tyres are like an open book, they will show you every little mistake and every little detail of other cars and most of my car, so inspecting other cars was always a part and I definitely will keep doing it.”

Because the part for me is at the end is the closest I will get to another car, I cannot walk into anybody’s garage and say ‘hi there, I’ll just check out the car’ and then leave, you know. So definitely, it’s a good place to look at.”

Mick Schumacher even made Sebastian Vettel look at his car

Schumacher not only inspects other cars but also convinced his compatriot and mentor on track Sebastian Vettel to have a look at his car, and we could only wonder what they were discussing.

Schumacher is currently struggling at the back of the grid, with his car having little to offer him this year. Haas has promised that they would invest more in making a competitive car next year, and they haven’t spent their tokens in 2021.
