Mercedes F1 team recently unveiled the next stage of the massive $87 million redevelopment of their base. However, considering the fact that they aren’t where they want to be on the track, fans were not particularly pleased with this planned investment. They want Toto Wolff and the Brackley-based money to use the amount for the development of the car.
As per reports by the Mercedes AMG F1 team, they have completed over 30 different projects to reshape their production and design facilities in their Brackley factory since 2017.
The project is a state-of-the-art facility that features cutting-edge technology. The entire factory has been through a huge reshuffling as the Clean Rooms, Race Bays, Machine Shop, and Subassembly Workshops, have all been moved to new facilities.
Mercedes, which has 1,250 employees now, has included an employee gym, and several restaurants in the facility. Its construction is expected to be completed before 2025. But are the fans happy about it? The answer is an absolute no. They would rather have a fast car out on track.
Fans give Mercedes a reality check
Fans do not care about what Mercedes is investing off the track. Having a huge factory reshuffling requires a lot of money ($87 million) but considering where they are in terms of performance at the moment, they couldn’t care less. Amid the instability regarding their performance and Lewis Hamilton’s contract situation, the last thing these fans want is reallocation of funds to a department that it isn’t really necessary.

Toto Wolff revealed the insight into their multi-million dollar facility
Mercedes team principal Toto Wolff has opened up on their massive, state-of-the-art facility. Wolff said that the Mercedes HQ in Brackley has the best technology that they brought from the United States.
Speaking about it after the press release, he said that the team attained the best technology possible from the US. Furthermore, the boss also stated that the massive headquarter of the German team in England is a fight for talent retention and hiring, as well as being an attractive employer.
