Lando Norris managed to claim back-to-back podiums after finishing P2 in Hungary, behind Max Verstappen. Even though the Briton failed to break Verstappen’s race-winning streak which has reached seven now, he did end up breaking the Winner’s Trophy that Verstappen received. Things got even more interesting when Norris received a cryptic warning from Verstappen’s girlfriend Kelly Piquet on Instagram, something that left the fans completely puzzled.
After starting from second on the grid, Verstappen managed to take the lead of the race right at the start. From there, it was easy sailing for the Dutch driver as he crossed the line in P1 to take the twelfth consecutive victory for Red Bull – a new record in F1. It was also his seventh consecutive race win personally, two short of the all-time record currently held by Sebastian Vettel.

Verstappen was joined on the podium by Norris, who had an amazing race himself. Once the podium celebrations started, the young McLaren driver tried to do his signature champagne pop by slamming the bottle on the ground but ended up breaking Verstappen’s trophy.
Lando Norris and Kelly Piquet Have a Weird Exchange of Comments
Norris was pretty embarrassed with the whole ordeal, but both he and Verstappen took it in good fun. Following the incident, Norris commented on several posts shared by Red Bull and F1 on Instagram. However, Norris received a cryptic reply from Piquet on his comment on a post made by Verstappen himself.

Verstappen posted a picture of himself holding the broken trophy along with the caption, “Thanks Lando Norris [trophy emoji][wink emoji].” Norris commented on the picture, “I’m so sorry” along with some laughing emojis. However, the weird part was that Piquet replied to Norris, “Hope you have better form tomorrow.”
Fans were left completely puzzled at this exchange and started making up their own theories. Some fans, including Giorgia, speculated that there must be some secret party where Norris would be joining Verstappen.

On the other hand, Nicole made a guess that Piquet would be chasing down Norris for breaking the trophy. Therefore she is wishing him luck.

Old habits die hard for Norris
Even though this is the first time Norris ended up breaking Verstappen’s trophy, it is not the first time he caused it to fall down. The same thing happened in Silverstone to Verstappen’s trophy when Norris tried his champagne-popping trick.

However, the drivers were pretty lucky that the Silverstone trophy was not made out of porcelain. With the current pace of the McLaren, it is expected that Norris would be on the podium quite a few times this season. It’s safe to say that Verstappen will be extra careful while having his friend around him.
