Former F1 driver Kimi Raikkonen is inarguably one of the most colorful characters in the F1 world. The 2007 F1 champion is known for his no-nonsense attitude on the grid and the one who does not like to entertain attention.
In his 19-year-long illustrious career, the iceman has produced multiple hilarious incidences which also included his drunk moments. Although, as it turns out the excessive drinking part of his character did not only produce unforgettable moments about the champion but also affected his personal relationship, according to Business F1.
Raikkonen was one of the F1 drivers who loved keeping his private life private and did not speak much about anything. But one huge incident of his personal life gathered immense attention and became a gossipy chatter of the paddock.
The huge incident is about his long-time girlfriend Jenni Dahlman whom he even married in 2004. But after more than 10 years long relationship, the duo parted ways because the relationship lacked ‘the most important aspect’ – communication.
Kimi Raikkonen was mesmerized by Jenni’s body
Dahlman and Raikkonen had known each other even before he debuted in F1 in 2000. She was a top model in Finland and had been in the profession from 14 years of age. Dahlman even ended up as runner-up in the 2000 Miss Finland before she won the 2001 Miss Scandinavia.
The problem with Raikkonen and her relationship was that the Finnish racing star was only interested in her sexual appeal. So much so that they barely ever spoke to each other. Business F1 revealed that many times the duo would go out for dinner with their friends and would never say a word to each other.
“The truth is that Kimi was mesmerized by her body and wasn’t afraid to tell his close friends. It is true that Jenni had a fantastic figure,” the Business F1 report stated.
Despite this, the duo spent 10 years together only to get divorced in 2014 after Raikkonen’s drinking habits got the best of him. After the split, Jenni even retired from professional modeling and became an entrepreneur.
Raikkonen has given up drinking
Soon after the duo split ways, Raikkonen found himself a new woman but this time, it was serious. The iceman began dating fashionista and personal trainer Minttu Virtanen and they tied the knot in August 2016.
The duo now has three children – a daughter, Rianna, and a son, Robin. The duo recently announced their third child – a baby girl. Minttu who is quite active on her social media recently also shared the moments from her baby shower.
Business F1 reports that the relationship between Kimi and Minttu seems to be in harmony as they conversate with each other. The report also claims that ‘Kimi has given up drinking and that is the deal.’
