Lance Stroll Gets Roasted as One Word Radio Message Has Fans Cracking Up

Lance Stroll’s radio message to his race engineer during Saturday’s FP3 cracked up F1 fans. Fans heard the hilarious radio excerpt and began bantering about the Canadian driver all over social media.

During the session, Stroll went wide while pushing his AMR23 during the final practice session ahead of the qualifying. In the process, he lost control of his car and, as a result, took it to the gravel trap.

Once he was in the trap, Stroll, who’s often made fun of, turned his car around to come back to the track, and that was when he was called in by his race engineer Ben Michell. Michell ordered him to box, to which Stroll replied with a “funny” voice.

As Michell asked, “We’re going to box. Lance box box,” the 24-year-old answered back, “Why?” with a somewhat unnatural voice. This is what cracked up most of the fans as they shared their reactions online.

Fans reacted hilariously on Stroll’s radio

As soon as the radio message was heard, numerous trolls and banters on the Aston Martin star began surfacing the internet.

Given below are some of the reactions taken from Twitter:

@Bliss_n16 on Twitter brought out a picture of the old Racing Point Stroll used to drive. It also had a  gender-changed Lance Stroll picture.

@Dice is back gave the context of two girls asking the same question.

@Ds 11 smith connected the radio message with that of a Breaking Bad guy.

Despite the funny radio, Stroll had a decent qualification

After FP3 was over, it was time for qualification ahead of Sunday’s Spanish GP. Because of the AMR23’s strong pace this season, Fernando Alonso and Lance Stroll were projected to finish high up in the session.

Interestingly, Stroll had a better qualification than his legendary teammate Fernando Alonso. The former Williams driver finished P6, which was three places ahead of Alonso.

However, speaking at the post-qualification interview, the Canadian driver said that his better performance was down to Alonso’s car sustaining damage during Q1.

He said, “He had damage, so I don’t think it’s relevant. I think it was a pretty decent session and obviously very tight. A little frustrating looking how close P2 is.”

“I think it’s always kind of you always think where you could go a bit faster and find a couple of tenths to be in the front row but it’s a good effort and yeah we’re in a good position for tomorrow,” concluded Lance Stroll.
