Lando Norris’ Friend Annoyed by Max Verstappen’s ‘Bad Boy’ Image

Lando Norris’ gamer friend Max Fewtrell has recently called out the negative image portrayed against his namesake Max Verstappen. Fewtrell, who knows the Dutch driver closely, was annoyed at how the “media” plays a leading role in drawing a “bad boy” image.

As per a recently surfaced video, the former racing driver said that Verstappen is super chill. It kind of annoys him to get to know how he is represented as an “arrogant and horrible bloke.

Fewtrell went on to say that all the people saying these, have never spent time with him or know who he is actually as a person. Verstappen is actually very generous, down to Earth, chilled, and a “really nice bloke, he stated.

It’s just the media who painted the Dutch pilot wrongly. This happens usually when Verstappen is shown on the screen, in a few interviews and snippets of his angry radios, concluded the former F4 driver.

Fewtrell justifies Verstappen’s actions

Even though the two-time world champion is regarded as rude, his friends have justified the F1 pilot’s action. He said, “They take an angry radio message” and then say of he’s a rude person.

No, he’s driving a f**king car at 200 miles an hour, and he’s fighting for a world championship in F1. He’s in a high adrenaline position”, the former racer concluded by asking if anyone would be chilling on the radio at such a moment.

Fewtrell also doubled down that one simply can’t have a “solid” opinion of someone if they don’t know them properly or personally.

Why is Verstappen regarded as rude and angry?

Well, the F1 world has this basic idea regarding the defending champion as rude and angry. This is probably because of all the things that get shown on television or news about him.

Leaving aside how he is known for his reckless driving in the initial days of his career, the Dutchman is also known for his hot head. As seen in the 2018 Azerbaijan Grand Prix [collision with Daniel Ricciardo] and Brazilian Grand Prix [shoved Esteban Ocon] that year itself.

Furthermore, the 2022 Brazilian Grand Prix added more fuel to the fire after he denied his teammate Sergio Perez to overtake him. This caused massive outrage and the Red Bull star faced a huge backlash for his antics.
