Lewis Hamilton With His Recent Thirst Trap Seems to Overcome His 10-Year-Old “Cut My N**s Off” Weight Crisis

Lewis Hamilton managed to send F1 fans into a frenzy as he posted a shirtless thirst trap on Instagram yet again. However, he backed up the pictures with a positive message aimed at people who suffer from body weight issues. It seems like Hamilton has finally managed to overcome his own issues regarding his body weight – something that 10 years ago made him go to the lengths of claiming that he would have to cut his testicles off to get to the optimal weight for an F1 car.

Back in 2013, F1 drivers found themselves in uncertain waters because of the new regulations for the 2014 season. A new weight limit for the F1 cars meant that the drivers needed to reduce their weight by a huge quantity to get optimal lap times from their cars.

Hamilton was shocked upon learning that the new ideal weight for the drivers was just 65 kg. As per Mirror, Hamilton commented, “I weigh about 71 kilos. I am not going to be 65 kilos unless I cut my n**s off!” He explained further that per five kilos of weight, a driver loses around 0.2 seconds per lap, which is quite a huge amount when it comes to the absolute pinnacle of motorsports.

There were several other instances where Hamilton spoke out about his struggle with his body weight. In 2021, the Mercedes driver had taken to Instagram to open up about how much he struggles with training. He had said, “There are days when I just don’t have the motivation, days I hate my body, days where I feel fat.”

Lewis Hamilton seems to have overcome his body weight issues

10 years after his comment about cutting his n**s off, Hamilton seems to have finally managed to overcome his crisis. The Briton took to Instagram and posted a series of pictures that showed the driver, topless, working out and training hard.

Hamilton added a caption that says, “In my sport, every kilo matters. Even being a little off impacts lap times and race pace. It’s crucial to eat well, sleep well, and put in work at the gym. If you’re ever having a tough time remember that we’re in this together. It’s never easy, but always worth it.

Even though the seven-time world champion is nearing his 40s, Hamilton looks fitter than ever. His attention to fitness is what has allowed him to perform at the very top level for so many years.

Lewis Hamilton’s fitness regime

Lewis Hamilton follows a very strict and strenuous fitness regime, which is expected of an F1 legend. One of the main requirements from the regime is that Hamilton must stay lightweight. He cannot afford to gain too much muscle as that would cause an increase in body weight.

Hamilton also puts a lot of focus on cardio and pilates to keep his core muscles strong, flexible, and lean. Additionally, F1 drivers must tolerate much stress on their necks while cornering. Therefore, Hamilton has a dedicated regime for his neck muscles as well.

Yet another thing that has helped Hamilton in his fitness journey is his vegan lifestyle. Hamilton is a proud vegan and has often claimed that the plant-based diet has helped him feel much more active and healthier than in his younger days. In terms of age, Hamilton might be nearing his 40s, but the 7x champion has shown no signs of slowing down yet.
