Lewis Hamilton's Younger Brother Nicolas Always Knew Mercedes Driver Would Reach the Pinnacle of F1

Lewis Hamilton shares an extremely close bond with his younger brother Nicolas as the two have supported each other on various occasions recently. While their love for each other is widely known, little is known about their childhood.

An old video that has recently surfaced on the internet shows how Nicolas always knew that Lewis was going to be one of the best drivers in the future. In the video, Nicolas said, “My brother is the best driver because he is fast“.

While Lewis has undoubtedly reached the pinnacle of F1 today, for someone to heap such high praise on him when he was just a child showcases the true potential the 38-year-old had. And more importantly, the young Lewis also had incredible confidence in himself as he stated in the video that his dream was to become an F1 driver.

Lewis Hamilton has often revealed how proud he is of Nicolas

Lewis Hamilton has often lavished praise on Nicolas because of the progress his younger brother has made in life despite his medical condition. Even though Nicolas was born with cerebral palsy, it did not stop him from gaining strength and managing to achieve his dream of becoming a racing driver one day.

The 31-year-old had multiple surgeries and several physiotherapy sessions that helped him to gain enough strength to start walking at the age of 17 and also try his hand at karting. Because of the disability that his younger brother has, Lewis has often explained in interviews how proud he is of Nicolas for just making it to racing.

Lewis’ 2023 season gets off to a disappointing start

With seven world championships and almost every other F1 record in his name, Lewis Hamilton is undoubtedly a driver that is used to winning. Hence, when he finds himself currently in fourth place in the championship, he considers it a poor start.

Lewis has often explained in his interviews this year how Mercedes are not in the place where they want to be and that the team has a lot of work to do if they are to catch up to Red Bull. When it comes to the Drivers’ Championship, Lewis has just scored 56 points and is already a whopping 63 points behind leader Max Verstappen.
