"Lewis loves a bit of kidology"– Red Bull claims to know Lewis Hamilton's tactics

“Lewis loves a bit of kidology”– Christian Horner believes Lewis Hamilton is an expert in deflecting the spotlight from him when chips are down.

Red Bull is currently performing slightly better than Mercedes, and have clinched the last five races away from the Brackley based team. A perfect start for them to claim the championship.

Amidst all of this Christian Horner is not flattered by Hamilton’s praises of Red Bull running away with the title, and accused him of some ‘kidology’.

It’s so early in the season to talk about running away with anything,” Horner told BBC Radio 4. “Lewis loves a bit of kidology, trying to move the spotlight away from himself – which is part of the gamesmanship of any sport.”

“It is such a long season and with 29 points available this weekend, a 32-point lead can vanish very quickly,” added the Briton.

Silverstone– The Fortress

Horner further claims that his team is always against the odds of winning in Silverstone, as Hamilton is another monster in his home race among his own people.

“He [Hamilton] is going to be fighting incredibly hard. Silverstone has been a stronghold for Lewis, it has been a stronghold for the team. [Seven wins] is an immense record.

“We are going to have to be at the top of our game to beat them but if we can beat them at Silverstone then there is nothing we should fear for the rest of the championship.”

Lewis Hamilton is not the only one to bet on Red Bull

It seems like either the whole Mercedes team has accepted Red bull’s superiority or just playing low. Recently, Toto Wolff called his team’s prospects of winning the championship this season against the odds.

Although, Mercedes has called for some upgrades for this race, so it would be interesting to observe how it assists the Silver Arrows this weekend.
