“Max Verstappen Is Afraid of…”: Friends Reveal 2x World Champion’s Weird Reason Not To Play Minecraft

Max Verstappen is obsessed with sim racing. Unlike other F1 drivers, Verstappen refuses to take a break from racing. The defending F1 world champion can’t have enough of virtual racing, so much so that he has a smaller version of his rig, which he takes with him wherever he races.

Another hobby of the Dutchman is gaming. The Red Bull driver loves to play FIFA, Call of Duty, and many other games. His love for gaming has even helped him bag a multimillion-dollar sponsorship with gaming giant EA Sports.

However, there are some types of games the 2x world champion will never play. According to some of his sim-racing mates, Verstappen has vowed never to play Minecraft because he is terrified of Zombies.

Max Verstappen’s friends reveal his “irrational fear” of Zombies

Max Verstappen can be considered the bravest driver in the entire F1 grid. The Dutchman is known for his aggressive driving style and does not hesitate to squeeze through the gap to claim the lead.

However, the Red Bull driver has a particular distaste for zombie games or series. One of his Sim racing mates, Chris Lulham, revealed, “Max Verstappen always refuses to pay Minecraft. Think it’s because of the Zombies in here.”

To which another Team Redline driver Gianni Vecchio added, “Max is afraid of zombies. That’s why he doesn’t want to play ‘Call of Duty: Zombie mode’.”

Lulham added the Red Bull driver has an “Irrational fear” of the undead. He goes on to imitate Verstappen, who denies his request to play zombie games. Seems like we’ll never see the Dutchman stream “The Walking Dead”, “The Last of Us,” or “Resident Evil” anytime soon.

Max Verstappen cannot stand spiders

Max Verstappen also has a fear of spiders and snakes. The 2x World champion claims he is not fond of creepy crawlies, a fear he shares with 2022 title rival Charles Leclerc.

The Dutchman reveals he cannot stand the small house spiders, but that is about it. He said, “I don’t mind the small spiders, but not the big hairy ones.” He also has a distaste for serpents and reptilia as he says, “Snakes also, I really do not like them!”

Fortunately, the Red Bull driver doesn’t need to worry about spiders and snakes at his home in Monaco.
