Max Verstappen and Gianpiero Lambiase are two of the most fascinating characters in Red Bull under the current scenario. Lambiase, the race engineer for the Dutch driver, plays a very important role in the team as he technically controls the three-time world champion. Now, citing this, Verstappen has come ahead to have an unusual demand, as per F1 Maximal.

Even though Verstappen and Lambiase work together, their love-hate relationships often dominate the headlines. Something which the team principal, Christian Horner, also focused on by saying they are like husband and wife.

Notably, the relationship between them is mutually amicable. As much as they have respect for each other, they can also be strict when the time comes. Amid this, Verstappen has a brand new demand to his team’s marketing department.

What did Max Verstappen want from his team?

As Verstappen and Lambiase spent a decent amount of time building the Dutchman’s career, the Red Bull driver decided to request something from Red Bull that would portray their on-track relationship throughout the year.

Speaking about this, the Dutchman said to Channel 4, as per F1 Maximal, “We are both quite strong characters, but I like that. This is how I prefer to work in a team. We have to be honest with each other, and that’s why I think we have a great relationship.”

Following this, he added, “I should definitely talk to the marketing department. At the end of a year, they have to make a compilation of all our radio messages throughout the year.” Their relationship has always been candid, and they’re crucial to each other because if one stops, the other does the same.

How does Horner see their relationship?

Max Verstappen and Gianpiero Lambiase’s relationship in the team and the paddock is one of the most enticing matchups for sure. They not only provide sumptuous radio exchanges, but their comebacks against each other are also delightful.

Given how the relationship between them works and how strong a character Lambiase is, the British boss, therefore, hailed the race engineer as Jason Statham of Red Bull.

All in all, Verstappen and his race engineer are surely one of the most popular pairings in F1, alongside Lewis Hamilton and Peter Bonnington. However, Lambiase might have an edge due to his extraordinary radio calls.
