Max Verstappen has millions of fans around the world, but one of his biggest and closest fans have to be his girlfriend Kelly Piquet, and his daughter Penelope. Piquet does not take much time to celebrate her boyfriend’s victories, mostly on Instagram, and sometimes even in the paddock.
Piquet put up a similar story on Sunday following Verstappen’s victory at the Spanish Grand Prix, where she explained that her daughter Penelope was also very excited about the win.
Penelope and Verstappen share a very special relationship. The three-year-old is Kelly Piquet’s daughter from her previous marriage with former F1 driver Daniil Kvyat. However, she stays with Verstappen now and the pair have developed a beautiful bond. Piquet mentioned in her latest story that Penelope was so excited about Verstappen’s win in Spain that she started speeding on her toy Vespa scooter.
Verstappen is very private about his personal life. But his beautiful relationship with Penelope can often be seen on Kelly Piquet’s social media. Penelope has also made quite a few appearances on Max Verstappen’s live stream that he does while sim racing and gaming during his free time.

Kelly Piquet celebrates Max Verstappen’s 40th race win
Kelly Piquet did not take much time to put up celebratory statuses on Instagram about her boyfriend’s dominating victory in Spain. The Instagram story was a video that showed a TV on which the podium celebrations were being shown. Towards the end of the video, there was a high-pitched squeal of a motor. Piquet cleared it up that it was Penelope driving her toy Vespa scooter at high speeds around the house, inspired by her stepdad’s victory.
Piquet also put up another story that was captioned “40th win (fire emoji).” Ever since his debut in Formula 1 in 2016, Verstappen has managed to win 40 races. He also had 83 podium finishes to his name.

Verstappen will need one more win to equal the Brazilian legend Ayrton Senna’s record of 41 victories. The Dutchman has already overtaken Senna in terms of podiums and is en route to winning his third world championship title – which will put him at par with Senna’s record. Verstappen has been compared with Senna on various occasions by Red Bull’s chief advisor Helmut Marko.
Max Verstappen’s tiny best friend
Penelope and Verstappen share an adorable relationship that has made fans go ‘aww’ on more than one occasion. Verstappen is a family man and spends a lot of time with Penelope. His mother even claimed that having Piquet and Penelope at home helps Verstappen focus more during the race weekends.

When Verstappen is not racing in F1, he often streams his sim racing sessions. These sessions are often interrupted by Penelope as she pokes and prods Verstappen, trying to get his attention. She was seen trying to put a soft toy in front of Verstappen’s face when he was taking part in the virtual 24 hours of Nurburgring. Overall, the two share a heartwarming relationship, and the fans absolutely love it.
