Mercedes makes a troubling confession

Speaking to journalists at the Bahrain interaction Circuit, Wolff opened up on their problematic F1 juggernaut. Ringing the death knell on the W-14, Wolff conceded, “The concept is not as strong as we thought it was.”

Revealing that the team is a full second off the pace compared to their competitors, the captain of the Mercedes ship said the words no one would want to hear. “We are not happy.”

The massive gap between the once-masters of the sports and their rivals has only been a shock. Finding themselves in an unfamiliar place behind the rest, Mercedes is struggling to find solutions. Hamilton adds, “It’s difficult for everybody, and not where anyone at the team wants to be, or where everyone at the team deserves to be…”

Hoping that a miracle will land on their laps, Hamilton encourages his team to stay on the hunt. But as underdogs like Aston Martin take their position, and better them, it is a wake-up call to the Brackley outfit.
