What did Max Verstappen do?
It was the sprint race weekend of the Brazil GP. Hamilton had stormed from the back of the grid at an unbelievable speed to the top. He had ultimately taken the pole position.
Verstappen was convinced that something was different about his rival’s rear wing. So he went ahead and touched the rear wing of the Mercedes in parc ferme.
It was a violation of the parc ferme rules. Hence he was given a hefty penalty of $50,000. Ever since the incident, a lot has been thrown around the grid that has mocked the situation.
Fans came up with hilarious memes and Verstappen joked that the board members could have had a nice dinner out of that money.
