NFL Star Tyreek Hill Delights F1 Fans by Chatting with Pierre Gasly on Alpine's Team Radio

Miami Dolphins star Tyreek Hill made his presence felt during the first practice session of the Miami Grand Prix on May 5 as he disguised himself as an Alpine crew member. The NFL star was supporting Pierre Gasly and also gave the Frenchman instructions on the team radio before FP1 began.

Hill told Gasly (as quoted by mirror.co.uk), “Good luck brother. Be fast like the cheetah, baby.” On hearing the Miami Dolphins star’s message, the French driver replied, “Copy champ, thanks”.

Fans react as Tyreek Hill supports Alpine’s Pierre Gasly

Some fans such as FleshHeartsLove seemed to have enjoyed Tyreek Hill’s appearance in Alpine‘s garage as they explained how he is the kind of athlete F1 should invite.

Meanwhile, some other fans such as Tasha joked that Tyreek may have played a role in increasing Gasly’s pace on track as the Frenchman finished sixth-fastest in the first practice session.

And then there were some other fans such as Belly who simply stated that they loved Tyreek’s appearance in Alpine’s garage.

Gasly has had a difficult start at Alpine after AlphaTauri move

Pierre Gasly has not had the best of starts to his life at Alpine after moving from AlphaTauri as he currently finds himself 14th in the championship with just four points. He is level on points with his teammate Esteban Ocon but far behind some of his rivals at other midfield teams.

After scoring two points each in both Bahrain and Saudi Arabia, both Alpine drivers have failed to score any points in the last two races. Speaking of the recent disappointing results, Gasly said (as quoted by f1.com), “We’ve got to move on very quickly from this race weekend because it’s been very bad”.

He added that he believes that his side is clearly in a position where they did not anticipate they would be at the beginning of this season. Hence, he believes that the only way forward for Alpine now is to figure out the reasons for the underperformance and improve for the future.
