It’s not often you see F1 drivers last as long as Lewis Hamilton and Fernando Alonso have in the sport. With the physical demands of the sport being so great, the two champions have stayed in great shape. This has allowed them to play at the top of their game, despite the whispers of retirement.

And it’s not like they’re at the back of the field or just here for the name. They are constantly battling it out on track, hard-core. Much like NFL’s Tom Brady, who has now become an example for athletes in every sport.
Having retired from the extreme sport of the NFL, where bodies are thrown around and on top of each other, Brady persevered for a long time. This relentlessness and more than that, dedication. has inspired sportsmen all everywhere.
Haas F1 team principal Guenther Steiner had observed this fountain of youth in Alonso. Praising the 41-year-old, he said, “he is older than God and every week he gives one hundred percent, he is always motivated.”

Steiner observed that the Spaniard isn’t here for the money and the fame. He has had enough of that already. “That’s not what you want because you’re not done here yet.” Age is a number, but the drive and determination it takes is a mentality.
Brady was an ageless wonder. He credited his TB12 method for his incredible longevity in the sport. He once explained how the mind is more powerful than what the body endures. “I feel the mind and body must work together.”
Lewis Hamilton looks at Tom Brady to out-do Alonso
While “older than God” Alonso is the most experienced driver on the grid, Hamilton trails behind him in second. 38 years old, Hamilton drives better than he did a decade ago. He trains better. But will he make it to the big 5-0?
His answer lies in Brady. “You can never say never. There are people out there like Tom Brady.”
Hamilton, too, shares a similar mindset as the quarterback, explaining that the body is capable of innumerable things and he is here to take advantage of it all; for as long as he can.

In a phenomenal response, Hamilton explained, “There are different ways you can train, how you can eat, and your focus. The technology in our bodies is shifting, and it is just about the mentality and whether or not you still have the drive to sacrifice the same as you did when you first started, and I do.”
The importance of a healthy lifestyle is something the 7-time Super Bowl champ has been an advocate for. “I try to surround myself with positive people, and I work to minimize distractions whenever possible. My lifestyle has helped me stay physically and mentally fit.”
Thus, as Brady continues to be the man look up to, he has revolutionized the concept of age in sports. Although F1 is no NFL, the question remains, how long will we see Hamilton and Alonso on the track?
